Chapter 15

I have suffered. You should witness this when the time comes.” He told me that directly.

He never shed a single tear, when he suffered such pain and torture. His face was not distorted, not angry, and not smiling. Even his beloved disciples were amazed by his attitude. Even though they followed him, they also continued to test him, whether he was really the Son of God or not. Women were crying, but the disciples were not. They curiously looked at him in detail, wondering why the Son of God was suffering like that. Jesus knew what his disciples were thinking, but he pretended not to be aware of it.

When Jesus came to Golgotha, he was tired and weak. His mind was still fine, but his body was weak. Six Roman soldiers were divided into three groups of two. Two groups nailed his two hands and the other group nailed his feet to the cross and then raised him on the cross.

The most painful scene was the nailing. Jesus let out a scream as the nails were hammered. Mary, the mother of Jesus, heard the sounds and she blocked her ears. When the thick nails broke his bones he could not stop groaning. When women heard the nailing of Jesus on the cross, some

turned back and cried into their dresses. The scene of Jesus being crucified on the cross was brutal. Because he had not eaten anything for a long time to prepare his death, he died in only six hours on the cross.

After Jesus finally died on the cross, some people gathered to take his body. That scene in my vision is still clear to me. His face looked very old. Because all his blood had been drained from his body, his face was only skin and bone and looked quite different from when he was in the garden of Pilate in the morning. Within a few hours, all his blood was out on the cross. They wrapped his body in a clean linen cloth and put it in grave.

After the resurrection, his face was totally different. When he died, he looked over forty years old. But the Lord of glory who was resurrected looked the age of twenty seven or eight. His face changed - different from that of a man who used to be one of the Israelites. The Lord who is now on the glorious throne has the new face.

When people saw Jesus suffered, no one considered him as the Son of God. He looked just a normal man to them. They could not recognize his real identity communicating with
