Chapter 18

Jesus said, “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it” (Matt. 11:12). “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it” (Matt. 7:13). To go to heaven is not easy. But people like sweet and dislike bitter. The number of Christians has been increasing so far. But the millions or billions of Christians are not worthy of being part of God’s army, if they do not know about the will of God. The fact that there are huge numbers of Christians is something that looks good only to people, not to God.

Because I became the Overcomer, I have been able to see the Lord Jesus and to hear about the spiritual world. How could I know about it without seeing and hearing it? Did the Lord show me it because I requested? No. Everyone who has believed in Jesus wants to see him. But you cannot force it on your own.

Everything like those is to become true in the providence of God. God told me, “I chose you among four billion people in the world. No one can enter into my kingdom except

through you, because my providence is with you.” When I preached at the church in Cheongryangri, Seoul, 34 years ago, he said, “The place you stand on is holy, because my providence is with you.” When I suffered hard times, he told me, “He who ridicules you is who ridicules me, because my providence is with you.”

Those were what God told me, but I did not say anything to God I want. As you know, we did not have enough money to complete the Harvest Temple which God ordered us to build in 1987. I thought that I would be thankful merely to complete the external structure of our Harvest Temple to avoid rain and I thought to complete it later years. But God helped us to complete the interior as well in that year, and after we finished it he said to me, “You put great efforts on building my temple in your tough conditions. I will let you be honorable.” Then I said to him, “I am satisfied even now.” But I feel that he has allowed me to become respected. I have seen that he has given me rewards. I am just grateful to him.
