simply because the Israelites did not accept him as the Messiah? No matter whether people believed it or not, Jesus was truly the Son of God, the Messiah, because God sent him into this world.
Jesus said, as the Bible describes, “The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the good news of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it” (Luke 16:16), meaning that all the work in the Old Testament concluded with the coming of the Messiah. It was the words of the Son of God.
However, Jesus could not say everything he wanted to say. He said, “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear” (John 16:12). He said, “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come” (John 16:13).
After he went back to heaven, he took the book protected with seven seals from God (Rev. 5:7). After he opened the book, he learned about the Plan of God and that there was someone who would work for him to accomplish the Will of God (Rev. 11:3-4).
