and he had authority to send us the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, he indicated to John the apostle in Revelations what will be to happen. He wanted the one who overcomes (Rev. 2:7 etc.).
He was in heaven after crucifixion on the cross and only then he received his throne from God. The words that he said after he got his throne cannot be comparable to the words in the Old Testament or his words in this world.
Now the messages that Jesus sent us are important. That’s why Jesus said, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God” (Rev. 2:7).
Jesus wanted the coming of the Overcomer among the people who had received the Holy Spirit in the churches. Then he promised he would give his blessing to the Overcomer. Were his disciples and even Paul the apostle eligible to receive the same blessing that Jesus promised to the Overcomer? No. Revelations was given only after their death.
