related to God and Jesus, Jesus is described as the bridegroom and those who become high priests as the bride of the Lamb (Rev. 21:9). This is a Biblical metaphor.

26. Joshua the high priest as the shadow of the Olive Tree

From the sermon on March 29, 1990 Thursday early morning

The Israelites suffered after they lost their country and were taken captive in Babylon. They were ridiculed by other countries. But after they came back from Babylon, God prophesied through Zechariah that he would make Jerusalem overflow with prosperity and would comfort Zion (Zech. 1:17). God also used two important people as metaphors for two Olive Trees in the vision of Zechariah.

“He showed me Joshua, the high priest, standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him” (Zech. 3:1). This was the scene that God showed Joshua the high priest to Zechariah in his vision.
