Chapter 38

If they came and just said “hello”, it would not matter to you. But God protected the tree of life from his children. Their coming will be challenging to God. Human beings who were made for God began to work for Satan, so there was the danger that Adam and Eve would come into God’s territory on behalf of Satan. Therefore, he had to guard the tree of life with a flaming sword.

He did not have to protect the tree of life before Adam and Eve committed Sin. But he had to protect it after they committed sin and he was grieved that he created them, and his heart was filled with pain (Gen. 6:6).

Since people have believed in God, they have been taught that God is almighty. Even the servants of God thought so. Why? Because God gave us the laws of Moses saying, “I am your only God. You have to worship only me. If you worship other gods, you will be punished.” Therefore, people who just believed in God could not know any other than God. This principle has also been held in Christianity.

I do not mean almighty God is not good for us. But you should understand there was a problem. Christianity has believed that there is nothing for us to do for him, because they

think God is almighty and can do everything as he wants. People have believed that if we just believe in him, everything would go well and we would be blessed. They have not known more than that. But I am trying to explain that God needs us. God created us because he wanted our help for him. He needs our force to overpower Satan.

Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, but he had to come down to this world to be crucified on the cross. Who did he have to sacrifice himself for? He suffered pain and death for God, not for us. After Jesus was crucified on the cross, he would see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD would prosper in his hand (Is. 53:10). The ‘offspring’ are the followers who would suffer even death. When we are called by Jesus Christ and become his offspring, we will also have to suffer pain as Jesus did for God. It is the most important part of believing in God.

It is good to get blessings from Jesus and to ask him for help. But the offspring who are selected by Jesus need to suffer pain for God as Jesus showed us (Matt. 16:24). This is the task given to us. We do not have to care about how other people believe in God and worship him. It is my responsibility
