The Providence of God

This book contains 42 sermons of Lee Youngsoo, the Overcomer. He has taught the Providence of God since 1970, and his sermons have been published in sixteen books. Because of many books, people who are new to his sermons may have difficulty in reading and understanding its outlines. In order to deliver his message in a more concise and palatable way, this book was planned.

However, with only restricted sermons chosen for this book, it is not easy to present the message of God’s will in complete form. I tried to extract the most appropriate sermons for readers to catch the flow of God’s providence, but it is not a complete picture. In this chapter, I’ll try to summarize and introduce the core contents of his preaching.

God’s providence and the corresponding shadows

God has shared his secrets to a limited extent through the Overcomer. He shared just enough for the people of the world to accept the work of God, while keeping secret his strategy for the war against Satan.

When Jesus went back to heaven, he took the scroll from the right hand of God (Rev. 5:7). He was able to understand completely God’s will after he read the book. So he called John the apostle to deliver the will of God to his disciples (Rev. 1:1).

Therefore, Revelations contains the words that Jesus could not teach while he was in this world, the secret that God had retained, and the plan of Jesus that he would work on.

The ultimate goal of God’s will is to overpower Satan. After Satan is demolished, the final judgment will be performed and then a new heaven and new earth will be created.
