the fortress, we need a special army to do it. The army must destroy it to save their country. The recruited soldiers may never think to survive after their mission. They are willing to dedicate their lives for their country.

So why should the warriors undertake such a mission? Because, it will give their people peace. They must win the war to protect their families and their people and therefore are willing to die to destroy the enemy. If ten commandos need to destroy the fortress so that their people and the other soldiers could live in peace, the ten commandos would be tremendously important.

In the Bible, God decided on a fixed number to achieve his purpose: 144,000. “Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads” (Rev. 14:1). God will give these people the task achieving his purpose even though they need to sacrifice their lives. True peace will come only after they accomplish this mission in the spiritual war between God and Satan. After the spiritual war, the true believers will be distinguished from the sinners in the last judgment. Then,

a new heaven and a new earth will be made. At that time, the true believers will obtain the peace of heaven, but unfortunately the sinners will be thrown into the lake of fire.
